Sausage Rolls, Golden and meaty, straight from the oven….
Sausage rolls are great aren’t they? From the bakers in the morning, on a picnic or for a buffet. But how about freshly made with golden, light, buttery pastry and a delicious homemade meaty sausage filling. I do hope you enjoy watching this recipe as much as we enjoyed eating them…

I know, it sounds unusual but these little beauties are amazing!….
So, I had this idea that as carrots help to keep cakes moist, how about other vegetables too, such as courgettes. And as cheese and chilli go so well together, how about trying all this in a muffin. So these Cheese & Chilli Muffins are the result. It took a couple of batches to get the right quantity of cheese to chilli but I reckon this recipe is now fast becoming one of my favourite breakfast treats. Hot out of the oven with a spread of real butter, well, try it for yourself and you decide….

Please the Whole Family with this Lovely Selection….
We love this recipe and often have a home-made Quiche Lorraine for tea. They are so easy to make and you can add your own favourite ingredients to the basic recipe to make it unique.
A layer of tomato on the pastry base makes for a nice addition and those caramelised red onions are so deliciously sweet. I wonder which one would be your favourite…
This lovely little recipe uses Hot Water Crust Pastry. It’s such an easy pastry to make and feels a little bit like play-dough so it is real easy to work with. The result is a light and crusty pastry which can encase any savoury filling you like...

Here is my version of Fisherman’s Pie. The baked potatoes match real well with the creamy fish sauce and those generous chunks of poached fish. Use any fish you like for this pie. I like to add smoked mackerel when I can find it and a few prawns can also be a nice addition. I wonder if you are a veg in or veg out person when it comes to fish pie?
A Full and Flavoursome Pizza….
This savoury bake is a favourite of ours. One of the great things about it is that once you have the dough and baking method right, you can add just about anything you fancy on top. This one is a bit of a meaty one and needs a little preparation beforehand with the sausage and chicken but there is no reason why you can’t just buy ready cooked meat and throw it on. Be creative and add your own favourite toppings and you have a quick and tasty tea…
